Sunday 16 June 2013 was a glorious sunny Winter day and it was a perfect day for HakkaWA members, relatives and friends to take an easy and relaxing outing to Mandurah for the day.

Members celebrated at Applecross for the 2013 Mothers Day members gathering on 11 May. Karaoke singing were participated by many members present to entertain the crowd.

Ten members arrived at different days, met up in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, then flew off together to Shenzhen, China on 5 April. The tour ended when all the ten members returned to their respective homes by 14 April 2013.

About one hundred members participated in the HakkaWA Members Dinner Gathering which was held on 16 February 2013 in South Ocean Chinese Restaurant, Kardinya to celebrate the 2013 Lunar New Year and welcome the Year of the Water Snake.

Our Association set up a HakkaWA stall at the Perth Chinese New Year Fair 2013 to join in the celebrations at James Street in Northbridge on 10 February 2013. The stall served to promote Hakka culture and history.
