Hakka Guangdong Ancestral Villages Tour

20 April 2013

Ten members arrived at different days, met up in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, then flew off together to Shenzhen, China on 5 April. The tour ended when all the ten members returned to their respective homes by 14 April 2013.

  • Day 0: Thursday 4 April 2013,  pre-tour seafood dinner in Kota Kinabalu 旅游开始前晚在亚庇先来一餐海鲜晚餐
  • Day 1: Friday 5 April 2013, Kota Kinabalu – Shenzhen 亚庇 – 深圳
  • Day 2: Saturday 6 April 2013, Shenzhen – Zijin 深圳 – 紫金
  • Day 3: Sunday 7 April 2013,  Zijin – Meizhou 紫金 – 梅州
  • Day 4: Monday 8 April 2013, Meizhou – Longchuan 梅州 – 龍川
  • Day 5: Tuesday 9 April 2013, Longchuan – Guangzhou 龍川 – 廣州
  • Day 6: Wednesday 10 April 2013, Guangzhou – Luoding 廣州 – 羅定
  • Day 7: Thursday 11 April 2013,  Luoding – Jiangmen – Xinhui – Shenzhen  羅定 – 江门 – 新会 – 深圳
  • Day 8: Friday 12 April 2013, Shenzhen – Kota Kinabalu/Kuala Lumpur/ then Perth  深圳 – 亚庇/吉隆坡 – 然后珀斯

2013 年四月广东探亲团

由4月5日至12日的广东探亲团已刚结束。10名会员参加了又一次成功的旅游团。

此团以探亲为主,另遊覽和參觀了中國廣東省的許多地方。

10 位会员先在马来西亚沙巴亚庇集合,行程旅遊於4月5日正式開始。

Day 2: Saturday 6 April 2013, Shenzhen – Zijin 深圳 – 紫金

This is Luoding, where Agnes managed to find some of her relatives and visited their village, and had dinner with them.

Day 7: Thursday 11 April 2013, Luoding – Jiangmen – Xinhui – Shenzhen 羅定 – 江门 – 新会 – 深圳

Xinhui: This is the city where Anita and Lilly’s ancestors migrated from, to the “South Oceans” and to Australia. This place is also famous for its roast goose, so we had to savour it. And we were not disappointed.

新会:此地为林少莲(张太)和赵影邻(杨太)的原乡。他们的祖先就由此移民到南洋和澳洲。新会古井的烧鹅是世界闻名的。

Shenzhen: That night, the Executive Vice President of the Global Union for Tshung Tsin and Hakka Association (GUTTHA) Ltd, Mr Chen Kon Tao hosted a dinner specially for the group in Shenzhen City. Sumptuous dinner aside there were karaoke and dancing.

Day 8: Friday 12 April 2013, Shenzhen – Kota Kinabalu/Kuala Lumpur/ then Perth 深圳 – 亚庇/吉隆坡 – 然后珀斯

The night we arrive back in Kota Kinabalu, Ricky and Julie Leng hosted a dinner for the group in appreciation for the good time they had with all of us. Mr Francis Yapp and Agnes and Mr Cyril Yapp and Benedette, hosted a lunch with their nephew and wife for the group the day before we depart Kota Kinabalu for Perth, thus ending the tour.
