To celebrate the Year of the Pig, HakkaWA hosted a Chinese New Year Dinner Gathering on Friday 8 February at Wang’s Treasure House Chinese Restaurant in Morley.

HakkaWA participated at National Tree Day organised by Tzu Chi Foundation on the 29 July 2018. Tree Day is an opportunity for you to do something positive for your community and the environment by connecting with nature.

The 2018 Australia Hakka Concert Tour was held in Perth on Sunday 4 March 2018 in Perth Modern School Auditorium.

The 29th World Hakka Conference was held in Hong Kong between 13 to 15 October 2017. It was a meaningful year for both Hong Kong and the World Hakka Conference as it was Hong Kong’s 20th Anniversary of return to motherland, and also the World Hakka Conference was first initiated in Hong Kong in 1971, five decades ago, and in Asia, America and Africa.
