The Perth Multicultural Performance and Singing Concert 2017 was held on Saturday 30 September 2017. The event was jointly organised by the Hakka Association of Western Australia Inc and Australia Jiayin Cultural and Art Association.

The Oceania Hakka Federation Inauguration was held on the 1st and 2nd April 2017 in Brisbane, Queensland. HakkaWA was represented by Mr Francis Yapp who was appointed into the Supervisory Committee of Oceania Hakka Federation and Ms Agnes Chow.

More than 100 members and friends celebrated HakkaWA’s 7th Anniversary of the formation of the association on Saturday 25 June at South Ocean Chinese Restaurant in Kardinya.

To celebrate Mother’s Day, the HakkaWA Women’s League organised a members dinner gathering on the 14 May at Happy Union Chinese Restaurant in Kardinya.

The 2015 Taiwan International Festival of Hakka Culture took place from the 14 through to 25 October 2015 in Hsinchu County. For the first time, the festival drawn industry, government and academia.
