Hakka Association WA wishes and congratulate our HakkaWA Honorary Advisor Mrs. Anita Shanlian CHONG 张林少莲 for being conferred the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2015 Medal of the Order of Australia, OAM. Congratulations!!

To celebrate Mothers Day this year, the HakkaWA Women’s League organised a Picnic by the Swan River, at Charles Paterson Park, Great Eastern Highway, Burswood WA on 16 May 2015.

To welcome in the year of the Goat, our Association was proud to join with the Chung Wah Association to organise a Chinese New Year Dinner and Dance. We appreciate the good gesture by Mr Sammy Yap the President of the Chung Wah Association Inc.

This year our Association again put up a stall at the 2015 Perth Chinese New Year Fair 珀斯2015华人新年文化节 at James Street in Northbridge, to promote Hakka culture and history.

The Fan Kungfu Group – 功夫扇团队 – was organised by the HakkaWA Women’s League 西澳客家公会妇女组。The HakkaWA Women’s League is Chaired by Agnes Yapp, with Secretary being Anita Chong.
