The Duanwu Festival 2011 HakkaWA Gathering was organised by the Committee of Management in response to popular demand by members. It was held 0n 6 June 2011 (Duanwu Festival Day) at Fitzgerald Seafood Restaurant, North Perth.

A couplet (对联) was done and donated by a member to the Association in conjunction with Mother’s Day Gathering at Alan and Lily’s house on 14 May 2011.

A group of HakkaWA members visited Hakka Territories in Southern China from 27 February to 5 March 2011. Some of the cities visited includes Shantou ,Chaozhou, Yongding (in Fujian province), Meizhou, Longchuan, Heyaun, Huizhou and Shenzhen.

A barbeque picnic at Heathcote, Applecross was held on 21 November 2010. The event was organised and sponsored by Jonas and Keith Yong, other sponsors include Life members Clement Tsen and Charlie Chang.

A seminar was given by renowned Hakka artist Mr. WANG Bo 王博 from Huizhou, China on 24 October 2010 when he visited Perth. Mr. Wang has since joined HakkaWA as a financial member.
